About the Product According to folklore, an angel revealed in a dream that angelica should be used to cure the plague. The plant’s name has a wealth of potential roots and associations having been linked with the Christian spring-time festival of the annunciation and the day of Michael the archangel when it was believed to bloom. Chinese medicine uses at least ten different kinds of angelica, particularly in the treatment of female disorders. It is used in the production of Chartreuse and Benedictine.
