About the Product
A native plant of Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Southern India, Burma and Indochina, the unique scent of cinnamon is synonymous for many with the warm, inviting flavours of the East. The plant was originally harvested from the wild by the Dutch, who feared that formal cultivation would destroy its valued therapeutic properties. Certain components of cinnamon leaf oil are dermal irritants and therefore the oil must be used with awareness. It has been used for thousands of years in the East for easing rheumatic discomfort and warming and invigorating the body against chills, colds, flu and comparable infections. Cinnamon leaf blends well with Frankincense, Orange and Ylang Ylang.
