About the Product At home in all parts of the northern temperate zone, in pastures, meadows and on waste ground. The first mention of the dandelion as a medicine is in the works of Arab physicians of the tenth and eleventh centuries. In the UK it is thought there are allusions to its use in the Welsh medicines of the thirteenth century but it was the sixteenth century when it became widely used across Europe. Its reputation as a medicine grew as it became a popular salad herb and coffee substitute.
