Dried Dried

All our cullinary herbs are hand cut from remote aromatic hillsides, far from sources of pollution, and taken to a sechoir (traditional wooden drying room) on top of a mountain, with distant views to the Mediterranean. Here they are gently dried by the warm winds of the Midi. No metal boxes heated to extraordinary temperatures here and most certainly no fumigation and no irradiation.
Our seaweed comes from unpolluted Atlantic waters and our red vine from an organic vineyard.
All our medicinal plants are harvested by hand by experts who know when to pick to achieve maximum levels of active constituents.
The flavour and colour of Tortue Rouge Dried Herbs are exceptional. Use them to flavour your cooking or enliven a bath or to make a tisane for your well-being.
If stored in a dry cool place, our loose herbs will last for one year from purchase. They are supplied in simple brown paper packaging.
