When using essential oils for animals you need the advice of a qualified essential oil therapist as certain oils are not suitable for some animals (see contraindications). The oils must always be offered to the animal (in very high dilutions), and must never be forced on them. If the smell is right they will happily take it. We consider that the animal is the best judge of what is right for it. They generally know what is good for them. In nature they would make their own choice. We must honour their knowing.

Never use the essential oils on their own as they can be too powerful for an animals skin.
