Applications The essential oil has a long-standing history as a cleanser and purgative of urinary infections, a relief from respiratory inhibitions and a balm for swollen and sore muscles and joints. Juniper berry oil is profoundly stimulating for the genito-urinary system bringing a valuable antiseptic warmth and diuretic motion to those troubled with cystitis, haemorrhoids, amenorrhoea and leucorrhoea. In cases of flu, colds and infections, the oil can strengthen the immune system.
Applied appropriately, juniper berry oil will flush the muscles and joints of harmful toxins and fluids, particularly useful where joints are congested with a painful build up of uric acid or in cases of cellulite, gout or water retention and oedema. The oil will warm and relax rheumatic and arthritic pain.
Juniper berry oil is effective as a cleanser and toner of acne, eczema, excessive oil and other imbalances in skin condition. |

Safety Data Generally regarded as non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitising. Some concerns have been raised about using this oil during pregnancy (due to its uterine stimulant qualities) and during incidents of kidney disease although both concerns have been disputed and are thought to be more relevant to the internal use of herbal extracts. |

About the Product Juniper berry oil is taken from the durable evergreen tree of the same name that thrives in the chill climates of northern hemisphere regions such as Scandinavia, Siberia, Canada, northern Europe and northern Asia. Although the oil-rich berries are used to flavour gin, the plant has an esteemed and enduring place in medical tradition. Characterised by invigorating, antiseptic qualities, juniper berry has been used to assist with urinary infections and the painful build up of uric acid around the joints as well an aid for rheumatic discomfort. Also effective at cleansing and fortifying the skin, particularly oily skin types.
