About the Product A tall straight stem 1.2-1.5m high, crowned with yellow flowers gives mullein its local names of 'Aaron's Rod' or 'Jacob's Staff'. The down on the leaves and stem makes excellent tinder when quite dry and was once used for lamp wicks, hence another of the old names: 'Candlewick Plant'.
