We offer our Plant Therapy in three formats
DRIED Tortue Rouge Dried Herbs can be used as herbal teas, for healthy cooking or to make a therapeutic bath ‘tea’. We hand cut and process all our herbs to conserve their flavour and chemistry. We use only the warm winds of the Midi to dry them. We never irradiate or fumigate.
TINCTURES Tortue Rouge Tinctures are a convenient way of taking herbs. Just add 3-5 drops to water and the vital herb chemistry is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. This avoids lengthy processing via the gut. Fresh and only fresh plants are infused in 100% certified organic grape alcohol to create these exceptionally high quality traditional herbal medicines
GLYCERITES Over the next 18 months we shall be introducing a low alcohol alternative to tinctures based on the principles of ‘gemotherapy’. Young shoots and buds are steeped in a mix of alcohol and glycerine to capture the vitality of the plant. Glycerites are increasingly in use in natural medicine for animals.
