Applications Bees work hard gathering this natural germ-fighting substance, and then use it to keep hives sterile and infection-free Propolis has been used for centuries as an antiseptic, anti-viral, anti inflammatory, remedy. Now, it is commonly used to sooth the throat. It is added to many skin preparations to naturally relieve skin irritations.
Externally: Research recorded in the journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2002 confirmed that burns treated with Propolis were less inflamed and that patients healed faster. The Propolis was also less likely to produce allergic side effects.

How to Use In natural medicine the optimum dose can vary from one individual to another. As a guide:
Adults (60 - 70kg 120 - 150lbs) Add 30 drops to a glass of water or fruit juice. Take the initial dose at the first sign of infection. For more serious infections take a second or third dose within a 24 hour period. Continue for three days and then reduce the dose back to once a day as the symptoms subside.
Do not take at a level of 3 doses a day for more than 15 days, do not take for longer than a total of 21 days.
For a chronic problem: Take 3 times a day for a maximum of 15 days and reduce gradually until stopping completely at the end of the third week.
Wait for two or three months before using Propolis Tincture again so as not to develop a resistance to antibiotics.
