Applications
A vitamin and mineral rich oil with notable anti-oxidant properties, wheatgerm oil is particularly beneficial for restoring tone, condition, moisture and lustre to mature or dry skin. Used as part of a muscle rub the oil will restore suppleness and energy to tired, overworked muscles. A restoring oil, wheatgerm is believe to help reduce the symptoms of dermatitis and will help to prevent stretch marks from developing during pregnancy.

Taken in appropriate internal measures, wheatgerm oil may help to prevent bloodclots and remove harmful cholesterol deposits from the arteries. Beneficial for preventing eczema, indigestion and varicose veins, the oil is thought to ensure healthy bone and muscle tissue in growing infants.
Safety Data
Wheatgerm should not be used on those with wheat flour or gluten allergies. It has been reported that the oil may encourage the growth of facial hair if used persistently in that area.
About the Product
The oil contains high levels of vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, so it could be added to other vegetable oils to act as a preservative. However, some find the strong odour unpleasant.
